Tai Chi and Chi Kung are ancient Chinese exercises practised to increase your life span. They also improve balance, posture and co-ordination. Lower your blood pressure, improve your health and wellbeing. The exercises are simple and fun.
Classes are held in the Cuckoo Bushes Hall every Monday at 11.15am-12.15pm and every Thursday from 2-3pm. With the exception of a holiday break and bank holidays classes run all year around.
Both classes are designed for all abilities whether beginner or more advanced. They both are a mixture of warm up exercises and chi Kung, tai chi yang form and shibashi. This contains a soft slow moving motion that anyone can follow and enjoy and ease their bodies into their older life. Everyone is welcome to attend, please contact me before attending.
Come along and try a class.

A step aerobics class is a group fitness workout where participants perform choreographed aerobic movements by stepping on and off a raised platform (called a step) in time with music.
The class is designed to:
- Improve cardiovascular fitness
- Build lower-body strength (especially legs and glutes)
- Burn calories
- Improve coordination and balance
Maria leads the class through repeating step patterns—like basic steps, knee lifts, and turns—often combining them into short routines. The step height can be adjusted, so the workout can be low-impact and beginner-friendly or more intense for advanced participants.
In short: it’s a music-driven cardio workout that uses a step platform to make simple movements more challenging and fun.
